  A British beauty queen has been denied permission to travel to the US to participate in the global beauty contest Mrs World.  Model Leanne Clive says she was denied a visa because she was born in Syria. 29-year-old Leanne Clive, a resident of Hessel, East Yorkshire, has to represent Britain in the Mrs. World final.  He is a doctor by profession and is currently undergoing his training.  Clive was quoted by BBC News as saying that her family was granted a visa to go to Las Vegas in the US, but she was denied a visa because she was born in Damascus, Syria.  However, US officials declined to comment on Clive's case.
